Why is the 3D Face Roller the skincare tool you need to add to your routine?
In recent years, skincare tools—those that enhance the effectiveness of creams and serums—have earned a special place in our beauty kits. And rightfully so!
These tools are compact, small, practical, and most importantly, they work wonders with visible results when used correctly. However, the technique of face-rolling isn’t exactly new. In fact, the roots of using such tools can be traced back thousands of years to ancient China.
What is Face-Rolling?
Face-rolling involves using a face roller, a facial massage tool typically equipped with a roller at each end, to massage the face in outward motions away from your face. You can use your face roller every day for about 5 minutes to give your skin an instant boost and glow, with many benefits to reap!
- Improves lymphatic flow and drainage.
- Enhances blood circulation.
- Reduces puffiness.
- Tones and soothes tired skin.
- Provides relaxation.
- Reduces stress.
- Distributes skincare ingredients more evenly.
The lymphatic system is your body’s way of eliminating toxins and unwanted bacteria. By guiding the face roller in a specific direction, you can improve lymphatic flow and help “drain” your face.
How to Use the 3D Face Roller Correctly
On a clean face, apply a few drops of your favorite serum or cream.
Tip: Opt for a more hydrating serum (or cream), as this will help the 3D face roller glide better on your skin. You can even use face rolling with oil, such as helichrysum oil!
The direction you follow matters. Your movements from the center of the face should be outward (from the cheekbones towards the ears). Around the eyes, the roller should also move outward to reduce puffiness and fluid retention. On the jawline, your movements should be outward and down along the sides of the neck, and from the chin outward.
About five to ten rolls in each area of the face is sufficient. Redness is normal as blood flow to the face increases.
It’s important to resist the urge to perform back-and-forth motions, as this does not help improve blood circulation in the face.
Finally, don’t forget to wash the 3D Face Roller after each use with soap and warm water!
