Many of us, when trying to choose the right cosmetic products, often wonder: "What type of skin do I have? Normal, oily, dry or is it mixed?", "Do I have sensitive skin or do I just have dehydrated skin?"

In this article I will give you some useful tips – tips on how to recognize what type of skin you have and what condition your skin may be in at this point in time.

SKIN TYPES

TYPE 1 - Normal skin:

It is a skin without imperfections, naturally hydrated, with normal PH and elasticity. Its texture is smooth and soft while its pores are medium in size. Daily care and adequate hydration even for a normal skin is essential to prevent dehydration and of course premature aging.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF A NORMAL SKIN?
• Gentle with moderate pores, without imperfections
• Smooth texture
• Normal PH and elasticity

TIPS FOR A NORMAL SKIN
• Proper cleansing in the morning and evening with the appropriate facial cleansing products.
• The use of a moisturizing – firming serum and then the appropriate face cream.
• Gentle exfoliation – Peeling about 4 to 5 times a month.
• The daily use of sunscreen regardless of the season.

TYPE 2 - Oily skin:

It is a skin with intense, distinct pores, its feel is rough while presenting intense gloss. An oily skin is prone to acne due to the hypersecretion of sebum, while the color of oily skin is usually pale and dark.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF OILY SKIN?
• Intense, distinct pores.
• Shiny complexion and rough feel.
• Tends to produce excess sebum and is prone to acne.

TIPS FOR OILY SKIN
• Proper cleaning is just as necessary, ideally with products in the form of gels and activated charcoal soap.
• In this type of skin we apply a face cream with a lighter texture so as not to clog the pores.
• Light-shaped peeling is recommended with a gentle scrub as well as cleaning masks.
• A properly cared for oily skin is kept fresh and wrinkle-free (due to the large thickness of the stratum corneum) for a longer period of time compared to a skin that belongs to some other category.
• With the appropriate face cream you will reduce the intense gloss on the face.

TYPE 3 - Dry skin:

It is a skin with a dull appearance, rough texture and small sparse pores (mainly on the nose and chin). At the same time, it is prone to dehydration and creates the feeling of pulling on the skin. Dry skin has no trace of sebum and for this reason it is considered the exact opposite of the oily skin.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF DRY SKIN?
• Dull look
• Rough texture with small sparse pores
• Feeling of pulling on the skin
• It often itches

TIPS FOR DRY SKIN
• Cleansing dry skin should be done with special moisturizing soaps.
• With special face care creams, you can restore skin moisture and strengthen your skin.
• An important role in this type of skin is played by proper nutrition and the amount of water we drink daily.
• Dry skin is more sensitive to the sun and is more prone to the presence of wrinkles. Sunscreen face cream is the most appropriate protection for dry skin.
• The serum - face serum is an ideal supplement before using a moisturizing face cream.
• Ideal are the care products with natural oils that soothe the skin. The most ideal natural oil is Helichrysos which is applied after the evening care, locks moisture and offers elasticity to the skin.

TYPE 4 – Combination skin:

This is the most common type of skin, it can be slightly greasy on the so-called T zone of the face, that is, on the forehead, nose and jaw. However, the remaining areas of the face and especially the cheeks have a tendency to dry out.

Necessary cleaning morning and evening, ideally with products in the form of foam and soap.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF MIXED SKIN?
• Light oiliness in the T-zone of the face
• Shiny skin
• The skin on the cheeks tends to be drier

TIPS FOR COMBINATION SKIN
• Clean your skin in the morning and evening ideally with the right facial cleansing products.
• It is better to use lukewarm water instead of hot or iced water.
• It is a prerequisite to use regularly but in a small amount a proper moisturizing face cream.
• Choose a product specialized for mixed skin.
